User groups are groups of CoGe users that can access private genomes in the system. A user group may have one or more users and has access to one or more genomes.
There are three permission levels for a group:
- Owner: They assign genomes to other user groups so others may see or edit the genome. They may update a genome's information in GenomeView.
- Editor: the editor group for a genome. Permitted to update its information in GenomeView
- Reader: the reader group for a genome. Only may use/view a genome.
