Syntenic relationship

Amborella does not have any structural evidence for a whole genome duplication event. Ass such, it genome structure is representative of the unduplicated genome of all angiosperms. Duckweed has evidence of at least one whole genome duplication event. Comparison to Ambroella provides evidence that this is either two sequential tetraploidy events or a single hexaploidy event.
