Evidence that Utricularia has had at least one whole genome duplication following its divergence with tomato: fractionation of gene content in two distinct Utricularia genomic regions

GEvo analylsis of 2xUtricularia regions to 1xTomato regions. The Utricularia regions are syntenic to the same reigon of tomato and show extensive fractionation and intercalated synteny. Results may be regenerated at http://genomevolution.org/r/4gi8

Evidence that Urtiruclaria has had two whole genome duplications following its divergence with tomato

GEvo analysis of 4x Utricularia regions to 1x tomato. All four Utricularia regions have intercalated syntenic with respect to tomato. These Utricularia regions appear to fall into two pairs that have similar syntenic genes with tomato. Such a pattern is evidence of two rounds of tetraploidy, with the more recent giving rise to more similar genomic regions based on syntenic gene content.
